Temnocephalida (phylum Platyhelminthes) A class, or in some classifications an order, Temnocephala (class Turbellaria, subclass Neoophora) of platyhelminth worms which have a pharynx and a bag-shaped intestine. The epidermis may be ciliated. They have a non-parasitic mode of life, living on the exterior of fresh-water animals.
