supersaturation
supersaturation The condition of air in which the humidity is above the level required for saturation at a given temperature (i.e. the relative humidity is greater than 100 per cent). Supersaturation results when the temperature of air containing no condensation nuclei falls below its dew point.

supersaturation The condition of air in which the humidity is above the level required for saturation at a given temperature (i.e. the relative humidity is greater than 100%). Supersaturation results when the temperature of air containing no condensation nucleii falls below its dew point. See also SATURATED AIR.
