Rachycentridae
Rachycentridae (cobia, black kingfish; subclass Actinopterygii, order Perciformes) A monospecific family (Rachycentron canadum) comprising a marine fish, 1.6 m long, that has an elongate body, a deeply forked tail, and long-based but low second dorsal and anal fins, the first dorsal fin being reduced to a series of isolated spines. The cobia usually swims alone rather than in schools. Probably it is distributed world-wide in warmer seas.
