HOLY FAMILY OF VILLEFRANCHE SISTERS OF THE
A religious congregation with papal approbation whose motherhouse is in Villefranche, near Rodez, France. The institute was founded in 1816 by St. Émile de rodat, with the assistance of Abbé Anton Marty, for the education of girls, the care of the sick, and other works of mercy. In addition to the French convents, the sisters have houses and missions in various countries in Europe and Latin America, where they teach in primary and secondary schools, run hospitals and clinics, and engage in nursing.
