HERTZ, BENEDYKT
HERTZ, BENEDYKT (1872–1952), Polish author. Transposing social and political themes into the animal kingdom, Hertz published allegorical works that display keen observation and a gift for comedy. These include Bajki (1903), Bajki i satyry (1911), and Bajki minionych dni (1919), collections of fables; and plays such as Szkice dramatyczne (1910).
