Kuṁbhamelā
Kuṃbhamelā. Pilgrimage assembly of Hindu devotees, held every three years at four different places in turn. The places, Hardwār, Nāsik, Prayāga, and Ujjain, are those where drops of amṛta, the nectar of immortality, fell to earth during a heavenly conflict. Many millions of pilgrims are attracted to the kuṃbhamelās.
