Bhandarkar, Ramkrishna Gopal
Bhandarkar, Ramkrishna Gopal (1837–1925). Eminent Indian academician, who was Professor of Sanskrit at Deccan College, Puné, 1884–93, and Vice-Chancellor of Bombay University 1893–5. His writings are numerous, and he is especially noteworthy for his search for Skt. manuscripts in Western India and Rajasthan, and the editing of Bhavabhūti's Mālatī Mādhuva.
