Tønsberg
Tønsberg (töns´bĕr), city (1995 pop. 32,975), capital of Vestfold co., SE Norway, a port on the Skagerrak near the mouth of the Oslofjord. It is a shipping center and has industries that manufacture forest products, processed food, leather, and silverware. Tønsberg was founded c.870 and is the oldest city of Norway.
