JENIFER, DANIEL OF ST. THOMAS (1723–1790)
Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer signed the Constitution as a Maryland delegate to the constitutional convention of 1787. The most national-minded of Maryland's delegates, he quarreled often with luther martin. His late arrival on July 2 permitted approval of equal votes for the states in the senate.
