FILASTIN AL-THAWRA (Palestine of the Revolution)
Official Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Arabic-language weekly, created in Beirut in 1972. The current editor in chief, Ahmad Abd al-Rahman, was in the 1970s identified with the Soviet Group, a leftist faction that appeared within the PLO in 1973. Having moderated his position, he later became the head of Fatah's information department, a member of its central committee, and the Palestinian Authority cabinet secretary.
