Cheltenham Gold Cup. The most important steeplechase in England at level weights. The National Hunt Meeting at Cheltenham is held in mid-March and the Gold Cup is the main event, run over 3 miles, 2 furlongs, and 76 yards. First run in 1924, the most notable winner has been Golden Miller, winning five times in succession 1932–6.
