Mörike, Eduard Friedrich
Mörike, Eduard Friedrich (1804–75) German poet. He published several volumes of subtle lyric poetry, including Gedichte (1938), a collection he added to in 1848, 1856, and 1867. It ranks among the finest examples of late German Romanticism. His small but influential output also includes the novel Maler Nolten (1832).
