Khan, (Niazi) Imran
Khan, (Niazi) Imran (1952– ) Pakistani cricketer and politician. He made his test debut for Pakistan in 1971. He played for Worcestershire (1975–77) and Sussex (1978–88). He captained (1982–92) Pakistan, leading them to victory in the 1992 World Cup. An outstanding all-rounder, he took 325 wickets in Test matches and became only the second player to score a century and take ten wickets in a test (1983). His political aspirations received a setback in the 1997 elections in Pakistan.
