Born October 15, 1969, in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England; son of George (an owner of a plastics manufacturing plant) and Moya (an actress and homemaker) West; children: (with Polly Astor; a journalist and homemaker)Martha; (with Catherine Fitzgerald) Dora. Education: Trinity College, Dublin, B.A., English literature, 1993; Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduated, 1995.
