Description:

Independent United Methodist, comprehensive, coed. Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees and post-master's certificates. Founded 1873. Setting: 40-acre small town campus. Endowment: $4.8 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $1517 per student. Total enrollment: 2,037. Faculty: 135 (61 full-time, 74 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 20:1. 2,175 applied, 60% were admitted. 17% from top 10% of their high school class, 42% from top quarter, 68% from top half.
