USHJA Athletic Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To recognize athlete students by supporting them financially. Focus: General Studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students attending Midway College who will participate in one of the following sports: Equestrian, Tennis, Basketball, Softball or Soccer. Criteria: Preference will be given to those who meet the criteria.

USHJA General Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial support to those students who are in need. Focus: General Studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students who are pursuing postsecondary studies. Criteria: Selection will be based on academic achievement, financial need, extracurricular activities, community service, involvement with American Saddlebred horses and recommendations.

USHJA Postgraduate Scholarships (Postgraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To recognize intercollegiate student-athletes by supporting them in their educational expenses. Focus: General Studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be male or female intercollegiate full-time student-athletes who are in the final year of NCAA eligibility and plan to enroll in graduate school upon completion of their four-year degree. Students must have a minimum 3.2 GPA, be nominated by a faculty athletic representative or director of athletics of a NCAA member institution in the final season of competition, and have performed with distinction as a member of a varsity team in the sport for which they are nominated. Awards are seasonal according to sport, as follows: FALL -badminton (W), cross country, equestrian (W), football, soccer, water polo (M), volleyball (W), and field hockey (W); WINTER archery (W), basketball, bowling (W), fencing, gymnastics, ice hockey, rifle, skiing, squash (W), swimming & diving, team handball (W), indoor track & field, and wrestling (M); and SPRING - baseball, golf, lacrosse, rowing (W), softball, synchronized swimming (W), tennis, volleyball (M), outdoor track & field, and water polo. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on the committee's decision.
