SBA Four-Year Scholarships Program (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To assist persons born with Spina Bifida to achieve their full potential through higher education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must have Spina Bifida (present a physician's statement of disability); must be high school seniors; enrolled in, or accepted by a college or university; must demonstrate financial need. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the committee's review of application materials.

Funds Avail.: $5000. Number Awarded: 1. To Apply: Scholarship application forms are available at the website. Applicants must file a completed application together with the physician's statement of disability (includes the physician's address and phone number); official school transcript; test scores (SAT, ACT, GRE); acceptance letter by school or college; three recommendation letters, two from faculty members; personal statement about educational goals (3 pages) and send to: SBA, Attn: Scholarship Committee 4590 MacArthur Boulevard, NW Ste. 250, Washington, DC 20007-4226. Deadline: March 7.
