Description: State and locally supported, 2-year, coed. Part of Mississippi State Board for Community and Junior Colleges. Awards certificates, transfer associate, and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1918. Setting: 701-acre rural campus. Total enrollment: 2,268. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 25:1. Students come from 6 states and territories, 10% from out-of-state, 0.2% Native American, 0.2% Hispanic, 43% black, 0.1% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 31% 25 or older, 35% live on campus. Core.
