Brooke Hindle Postdoctoral Fellowships (Postdoctorate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To promote the history of technology as a field of scholarly endeavor. Focus: History. Qualif.: Applicants must hold a doctorate in the history of technology or a related field. Criteria: Recipient of this award are based on the committee's criteria.

Funds Avail.: $10,000. To Apply: Applicant must submit their 2,500 word summary of the dissertation an a sample chapter; A plan of work (1000–1500 words) for the period of the fellowship; Two letters of recommendation. For applicants in full-time employment, one letter must include confirmation that an appropriate period of release will be granted. Deadline: April 15. Melvin Kranzberg Dissertation Fellowships (Doctorate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To promote the history of technology as a field of scholarly endeavor. Focus: History. Qualif.: Applicants must be working on projects in the history of technology; Applicants must have completed all requirements for their doctorate except for the dissertation by September 1 of the year of the award is made. Criteria: The recipient of this award is based on the committee's criteria.

Funds Avail.: $4,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit their curriculum vitae; a 3-5 page (750-1250 words) summary of abstract of the proposed dissertation which applicants should describe how their research contributes to the history of technology; A 1-2 page (250-500 words) description of how the applicant intends to use the funds; A letter of recommendation from the student's dissertation director. SHOT-NASA Fellowships (Doctorate, Postdoctorate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To promote the history of technology as a field of scholarly endeavor. Focus: History. Qualif.: Applicant must possess a doctorate in history of technology or in a closely related field, or be enrolled as a student in a doctoral degree program and have completed all requirements for the Ph.D., except the dissertation, in history of technology or a related field. Criteria: Recipients of this award are on the basis of the committee's criteria.

Funds Avail.: $17,000. To Apply: Applicant must submit an application form, curriculum vitae, two letters of recommendation, and a research proposal of not more than six pages, double-spaced. Deadline: April 1. Contact: Amy Brix, [email protected].
