The New York Times College Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support students who have overcome exceptional hardship to achieve excellence in New York City high schools. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be seniors who are attending public, parochial or private high schools in New York City; must have demonstrated academic achievement, commitment to learning-especially in the face of financial and other obstacles, and community service. Criteria: Awards are given based on merit and need.
