George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation Scholarships (High School/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide undergraduate scholarships for Houston area high school seniors. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Houston area high school seniors who attend schools or are homeschooled in the following eight counties: Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery or Waller; must be US citizens. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on scholastic ability and financial need.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must write for the one-page scholarship application and the two-page financial qualification statement or it may be downloaded from the website. Completed scholarship applications must be submitted with these documents (in the following order): (1) Financial Qualification Statement, (2) complete, legible, signed copy of parents'/guardians' and student's most recent federal income tax return (including all schedules) plus, if applicable, corporate or partnership returns, (3) proof of ACT and/or SAT results, and (4) high school transcript (unofficial is okay).
