Description:

Independent, comprehensive, coed, affiliated with Baptist General Association of Virginia. Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Founded 1859. Setting: 19-acre small town campus with easy access to Greensboro and Raleigh. Endowment: $21.1 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $6084 per student. Total enrollment: 2,719. Faculty: 270 (68 full-time, 202 part-time).
