AIAS/AIA Trust Scholarships for Emerging Professionals (Postgraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To assist financially-challenged students in paying their tuition and/or direct educational expenses. Focus: Architecture. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited program; must be in the fifth year of an undergraduate professional degree or the first year of a graduate professional degree; must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or “B” average in the architecture program; must have a full-time status; and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on eligibility, financial need, intent to continue education in architectural studies, intent to seek a career as a licensed architect, and thoroughness and quality of the essay.

Funds Avail.: $750. Number Awarded: 6. To Apply: Applicants must provide evidence of financial need in the written applicant review; documentation including the result page of the Streamlined Expected Family Contribution and certification from the academic institution that the applicant qualifies for the participation in an educational assistance program; proof of enrollment and year in school; and an essay.
