Robe, Sir William

Robe, Sir William (1765–1820). British military engineer and soldier. He was architect of Holy Trinity Church, Québec, Canada (1803), a variant on Gibbs's St Martin-in-the-Fields. His work was competent and solid, and he was involved in several improvements and administration in the Province of Québec in the early years of C19.
