Ponting, Charles Edwin

Ponting, Charles Edwin (1850–1932). English church architect, who also designed several secular buildings, including the Carolean Edwardian Town Hall, Marlborough, Wilts. (1901–2), with a prominent use of the Ipswich window. His handsome St Mary's Church, West Fordington, Dorchester, Dorset (1910–12), probably his best work.
