Loire-château
Loire-château or Touraine style. Type of C19 architecture based on the French Renaissance C16 châteaux of the Loire valley in the time of François Ier. Examples include Destailleur's Waddesdon Manor, Bucks. (1874–90), and William Henry Crossland's (1823–1909) Royal Holloway College, Egham, Surrey (1879–87).
