Digital Checks
DIGITAL CHECKS
A digital check is simply the electronic version of a paper check and works the same way that a paper check works. When a customer pays a merchant with a digital check, the check information, including the check's routing number, account number, and check number, is sent to the clearing network and the transaction is settled electronically. Digital checks can be processed more quickly and at less cost compared to paper checks.
