Born October 23, 1954, in Kingston, PA; son of B. Richard and Chia-In Rutkowski; married Randi Hoffman, February 7, 1999; children: Shay. Ethnicity: "Asian American." Education: Cornell University, B.F.A., B.A., 1976; Johns Hopkins University, M.A., 1977; attended Hunter College of the City University of New York, 1992-94.
