ADAPTATIONS: The Tantalizing Locked Room Mysteries was adapted to sound recording, Dercum, 1991.

SIDELIGHTS: The name Martin Harry Greenberg appears on the covers of a huge array of anthologies and collections—some four-hundred-fifty publications by 1992, according to the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction. As editor or coeditor, he covers straight fiction, science fiction, fantasy, mystery, literary studies, children's literature, and many other topics. Though Greenberg's books are not typically the kind that receive extensive critical notice, several reviewers have acknowledged his contribution to modern publishing. Booklist's Connie Fletcher, for instance, called a 2001 release, The World's Finest Mystery and Crime Stories, "a standout among mystery anthologies," while the fantasy collection Oceans of Space was characterized by Booklist contributor Regina Schroeder as "classic escapist fare, taking us far from the concerns of here and now."

"I have tried in my recent work to combine the insights contained in the literature of science fiction with those contained in social science research," Greenberg once told CA: "I have found science fiction to be the most important and relevant form of literature for our time."
