Rozsa, Vera (b Budapest, 1920). Hung.-born mezzo-soprano and teacher (Brit. cit.). Début Budapest 1945 (Hänsel). Sang with Budapest State Opera, Vienna Opera, and with leading orchs. in Eur. and USA. Retired 1975. Taught singing RMCM 1965–70, Opera Studio, Paris, 1975–80. Consultant prof. of singing GSMD from 1980. OBE 1989.
