Roget, Henriette

Roget, Henriette , French composer and organist; b. Bastia, Corsica, Jan. 9, 1910. She studied organ with Marcel Dupré and composition with Henru Busser at the Paris Cons., receiving the Premier 2nd Prix de Rome in 1933. She was director in charge of voice training at the Paris Opéra until 1959; she also served as organist at the Oratoire du Louvre and prof. of piano accompanying and score reading at the Paris Cons. She wrote a great number of piano books for children, among them Adroits petits doigts (1957), Abécédaire (1958), and Méthode (1970).
