Ricciotti, Carlo
Ricciotti, Carlo , Italian violinist and opera impresario; b. c. 1681; d. The Hague, July 13, 1756. He joined a French opera company in The Hague in 1702, later serving as its director until 1725. Ricciotti publ. VI concerti armonici a quattro violini obligati, alto viola, violoncello obligato e basso continuo (The Hague, 1740). Although no composer’s name is given on the title page, they were long thought to be by Ricciotti or Pergolesi. They now appear to be the work of Count Unico Wilhelm van Wassenaer.
