Rascarini, Francesco Maria , Italian alto castrato and composer; b. Reggio Emilia, date unknown; d. Turin, July 1706. He appeared in opera in Bologna in 1658 and in Venice in 1659. From 1662 to 1691 he was in the service of the Duke of Savoy. He also sang in opera again in Venice in 1666, and then in Milan in 1670 and in Piacenza and Parma in 1677. In 1697 he reentered the service of the Duke of Savoy
