Přibyl, Vilém (b Náchod, 1925; d Brno, 1990). Cz. tenor. Début as amateur in Hradec Králové 1952 as Lukáš in Smetana's The Kiss. Joined Janáček Opera, Brno, 1961 and sang leading Janáček roles, and Radames, Lohengrin, Otello, and Walther. Brit. début Edinburgh Fest. 1964 (title-role in f. Brit. p. of Smetana's Dalibor with Prague Nat. Th. Opera). CG 1967; Salzburg Fest. 1971.
