After seeing hs promising boxing career destroyed by an unscrupulous manager, Arturo Ortega (Smits) tries to live his dreams through his three sons. Sonny (Seda) is the best boxer but can't please his father, Jimmy (Collins) is the rebel, and Johnny (Hernandez) shares his dad's passion and has talent. Complicating matters are a powerful promoter (Perlman) and Arturo's selfdestructive tendencies. You've seen this story before, even if the setting is changed to the Southwest, and except for excellent performances by Smits and Seda, there's nothing here to cover for the lack of originality and lessthanstellar execution. 118m/C VHS, DVD .
