Moulaert, Pierre

Moulaert, Pierre, Belgian composer and teacher, son of Raymond (Auguste Marie) Moulaert; b. Brussels, Sept. 24,1907; d. there, Nov. 13,1967. He studied at the Royal Cons, in Brussels with his father and Joseph Jongen, and taught there from 1937 until his death. He was not a prolific composer, and wrote mostly in small forms, but his music had a distinctive quality of fine craftsmanship.
