Junck, Benedetto
Junck, Benedetto, Italian composer; b. Turin, Aug. 21, 1852; d. San Vigilio, near Bergamo, Oct. 3, 1903. He studied harmony and counterpoint with Alberto Mazzucato and Antonio Bazzini at the Milan Cons. He was best known for his songs, including the cycle La Simona (1878) and the album 8 romanze (1880). He also wrote a String Quartet (1886) and two violin sonatas (1884, 1885).
