Ilerici, Kemal, Turkish composer; b. Kastamonu, Oct. 15, 1910. He studied composition with Ferit Alnar. Among his works are a symphonic suite, In My Village (1945), Pastoral Fantasy for Orch. (1951), String Quartet, Suite for Oboe and Piano, and choral works. He wrote a book on Turkish music, Turk musikisi tonal sistemi ve armonisi (1948).
