Glazer, David, American clarinetist and teacher; b. Milwaukee, May 7, 1913. He studied at Milwaukee State Teachers Coll. (B.Ed., 1935) and the Berkshire Music Center in Tanglewood (summers, 1940-42). After teaching at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Mass. (1937-42), he played in the Cleveland Orch. (1946-51); then toured as a soloist with orchs. and as a chamber music artist; was active with the N.Y. Woodwind Quintet (1951-85). He also taught at the Marines Coll. of Music, the N.Y. Coll. of Music, N.Y.U., and the State Univ. of N.Y. at Stony Brook.
