Fleta, Pierre

Fleta, Pierre, French tenor of Spanish descent, son of Miguel Fleta; b. Villefranche-sur-Mer, July 4, 1925. He studied with his mother, Luisa Pierrick. In 1949 he made his operatic debut in Barcelona, and then sang in Nice (1949–51) and at the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels (from 1952); he also toured as a concert artist.
