Becker, Günther Hugo (b Forbach, Ger., 1924). Ger. composer and teacher. Taught in Gr. 1956–68. In 1969 in Essen founded elec. instr. ens. Gruppe MHz, re-named (1971) Live-Electronic Ensemble Folkwang, Essen. Prof. of comp., Düsseldorf Cons. from 1973. Works incl. Meteoren for org., perc., tape (1969), and Scenic oratorio Magnum Mysterium—Zeugenaussagen zur Auferstheung (1979–80).
