Wing Commander
Wing Commander Woof! 1999 (PG-13)
Unintentionally amusing sci-fi action flick combines elements from old WWII pilot movies, “Top Gun,” and “Star Trek.” Hot-shot space pilots (Prinz Jr. and Lillard) battle an evil race of aliens that resembles a heavily armed version of the cast of “Cats.” Their real battle is with the heinous dialogue and techno-babble they are forced to regurgitate. Adapted from a video game. 105m/C VHS, DVD . Freddie Prinze Jr., Matthew Lillard, Saffron Burrows, Tcheky Karyo, Jurgen Prochnow, David Suchet, David Warner; D: Chris Roberts; W: Kevin Droney; C: Thierry Arbogast; M: Kevin Kiner.
