Manna from Heaven
Manna from Heaven ★★ 2002 (PG)
A cash-strapped extended family, living in a working-class Buffalo neighborhood, receive an unexpected windfall when a passing truck with a faulty door dumps a load of $20 bills. A pious young girl thinks the money is a gift from God but, 30 years later, Sister Teresa (Burton) has now decided the money was just a loan and God must be repaid. However, the money's long spent and the rest of those involved are reluctant (at first) to go along with the nun's fund-raising efforts. 119m/C DVD . Shirley Jones, Cloris Leachman, Harry Groener, Jill Eikenberry, Ursula Burton, Faye Grant, Wendie Malick, Seymour Cassel; D: Gabrielle C. Burton, Maria Burton; W: Gabrielle B. Burton; C: Ed Slattery.
