Dead Eyes of London ★★½ Dark Eyes of London; Die Toten Augen von London 1961

Blind old German men are dying to lower their premiums in this geriatric thriller: someone (perhaps the director of the home for the blind?) is killing off the clientele for their insurance money, and a Scotland Yard inspector aims to expose the scam. Relatively early vintage Kinski, it's a remake of the eerie 1939 Lugosi vehicle, “The Human Monster” (originally titled “Dark Eyes of London”), adapted from Edgar Wallace's “The Testament of Gordon Stuart.” 95m/B VHS, DVD . GE Joachim Fuchsberger, Karin Baal, Dieter Borsche, Ady Berber, Klaus Kinski, Eddi Arent, Wolfgang Lukschy; D: Alfred Vohrer.
