Bad Company ★★ 2002 (PG-13)

Hustler Rock discovers his twin brother was a CIA operative who has just been murdered. He gets recruited by agency honcho Hopkins to take over his bro's assignment, which involves terrorists, bombs, and New York City. Considering these elements, it's no wonder this one got delayed. Rock deserves a better movie, but he almost salvages this one, anyway…almost. He's up against a standard issue plot that merely serves to get to the next action set piece which, this being a Bruckheimer production, are done well, but done too often. Schumacher managesto (mostly) subdue his worst instincts (see “Batman & Robin” to watch him surrender to them completely), but it doesn't really help. 111m/C VHS, DVD . US Chris Rock, Anthony Hopkins, Matthew Marsh, Garcelle Beauvais, Kerry Washington, Gabriel Macht, Peter Stormare, John Slattery, Adoni Maropis, Brooke Smith; D: Joel Schumacher; W: Michael Browning, Jason Richman; C: Darius Wolski; M: Trevor Rabin.
