Italian princess . Born in 1616; daughter of Cosimo II de Medici (1590–1620), grand duke of Tuscany (r. 1609–1620), and Maria Magdalena of Austria (1589–1631); sister of Ferdinand II (1610–1670), grand duke of Tuscany; married Ferdinand, archduke of Austrian Tyrol (son of Claudia de Medici ); children: one daughter, Claudia Felicitas who married Leopold I, Holy Roman emperor (r. 1658–1705).
Anna de Medici was born in 1616, the daughter of Cosimo II de Medici, grand duke of Tuscany, and Maria Magdalena of Austria . Following her marriage to her first cousin, Ferdinand, archduke of Austrian Tyrol, Anna de Medici and her husband spent more time in Florence than in their duchy in the Austrian Tyrol, preferring the Tuscan court.
