Irish suffragist . Name variations: (pseudonym) L.A.M. Priestly. Born around 1865; died in 1944.

Elizabeth McCracken's exact birth date is unknown, but she is believed to have been born around 1865. She spent her summers in Bangor, County Down, in what is today Northern Ireland, and gained renown as one of Ulster's leading advocates of women's suffrage. (Women over the age of 30 in Britain gained the right to vote in 1918, followed in 1928 by the right to vote for those under 30.) McCracken published numerous articles on women's suffrage under the pseudonym L.A.M. Priestly; her books include The Feminine in Fiction. Elizabeth McCracken died in 1944.
