Abbess of Pellesworth. Name variations: Editha, abbess of Polesworth. Died in 871; interred at Polesworth Abbey, Warwickshire; daughter of Ecgbert also known as Egbert III (c. 775–839), king of Wessex, Kent, and the English (r. 802–839), and Redburga ; sister of Ethelwulf (Æthelwulf), king of Wessex and England (r. 839–858); Ethelstan (d. around 851), king of Kent.
