Won the Lancashire Ladies championship 10 times (1948–55, 1959–60); won Engish Women's championship (1948, 1954–55) and British Open (1949 and 1954); during 5 Curtis Cup matches with US, was undefeated in singles between 1950 and 1958, and won 3 of her foursomes with Elizabeth Price; was president of English Ladies Golf Association. Received OBE (1977).
