Spies, Daisy (1905–2000)
German ballet dancer and choreographer. Born Dec 29, 1905, in Moscow, Russia; died Sept 9, 2000, in Berlin, Germany.
Joined the Berlin State Opera (1924), where she performed in works by Jens Keith, among others; also choreographed works for Keith's troupe, including Traumwalzer and Freitagszauber; began dancing with East Berlin State Opera (1951), where she created the production of Aschenbroedel; choreographed for Hamburg Operetta Theater and served as teacher at Wigman school in Berlin.
